Heavy Reel's second release sees Djamel open his account with his aptly titled "Kireru" EP.

Kireru, a japanese term which when literally translated means to "snap" or "explode". Recently it has been used to describe sudden explosions of individual juvenile violence resulting in bloody acts more often than not rocking the public opinion.

The original follows a broken-techno groove lead along with moody synth lines, one-shot hits and fx all building up to an almighty drop with massive machine-like stabs entering the mix but it doesn't stop there. It keeps going kicking you while you're down. Pure musical evisceration. This track is built for the kill and wont win friends in the playground. It's that one kid who you always knew would grow up to make the news for all the wrong reasons.

Reeko, the man behind the Mental Disorder imprint and a string of releases on labels including Music Man, Theory and Integrale shows exactly why he is currently one of techno's most prolific exponents with this menacing reinterpretation. Reeko builds the soundscape with intricate percussion rhythms and evolving synth pads creating this almost palpitating sonic palette lush with sinister undertones.
Completing the package is Irish techno mainstay Fran Hartnett. From the offset this mix pulls no punches working around a mutating, insistent stab lead complemented by aggressive percussion and the rolling synth lead from the original. Fran shows he's not afraid to kick a man while he's down perfectly rounding off this package ;)
